Davis came to Titan Field as the defending state champions and sporting a #6 national ranking. The Titans were not intimidated and battled into the half 0-0 with a great defensive effort and outstanding GK play from Gabby Segura. The Darts’ Ireland Dunn blasted the first goal early in the second half with a powerful left foot. Syracuse didn’t cave, however, and Kylie Johnson (54′) hit the equalizer on an assist by Aleeah Martinez. The game looked like it was headed to overtime, but Ireland Dunn struck again in the 74th minute to put the Darts in the lead for good.
Next up for the Lady Titans is a road game at Granger on Thursday at 3:30 pm.
