Titans End Losing Streak

The Syracuse Titans went on the road after a difficult two losses, and their first losing streak of the season to Davis and Layton, to defeat the Granger Lancers 3-0. A stout defense led by Seniors Kat Markham, Kyra Tolbert and Junior Abby Hall, with Gabby Segura in the net kept the clean sheet for the visitors.

The Titans secured one goal in the first half off of a beautiful set piece by Madison Wilcox (2nd assist on the year) and the finish by Kenadee Arigot, her first goal of the season. Arigot would have another first half goal called back by offsides. In the second half midfielder Myka Bouwhuis helped get the Titans rolling with assists on both goals (2nd and 3rd of the year), finished by both Taya Tobler (2nd of the season) and Alexia Dart, also her first goal of the season. Kylie Johnson also received credit for an assist on Tobler’s goal, Johnson’s team leading 4th assist of the season.

Altogether Syracuse outshot the Lancers  26 to 3, with 14 girls taking shots on Thursday. The Titans also posted n incredible 65% shots on goal rate.  Next up the Titans hope to climb in the region standings when they take on the Wolverines of Hunter on the road
