The Viewmont Vikings came into Titan Field yesterday looking to avenge a 1-0 loss to Syracuse. The Vikings came out swinging and controlled the first 10 minutes of the game. The Titans did their best to weather the storm, but gave up a goal in the 10th minute. After the goal the girls battled back and made it a game. With quite a few scoring opportunities just going wide or coming up short, the Titans kept things interesting for most of the game. However, Viewmont found the net off a rebound from a nice save by Gabby Segura. Viewmont proved to be a title contender and the Titans continue to prove they belong on the field with the best teams in the state.
Next up for the Titans is a road game against West on Tuesday.
Syracuse’s Kylie Harris continues to make a statement and garner respect throughout the state. The Standard Examiner did a nice write up of her this morning.
