The Syracuse Titans (1-4-1, -6 goal differential) traveled to Bountiful Tuesday afternoon to take on the #3 ranked Viewmont Lady Vikes (5-1-0). Viewmont defeated Syracuse with a score of 2-0, both second half goals by the Vikings.

The game was a hard pressed battle between both teams in the first half, leaving the score tied 0-0. It was in the first 10 minutes of the second half that Viewmont capitalized on Syracuse mistakes. The first goal (44′) came off of a corner and the Vikings beat the Titan defense to the ball. 6 minutes later the second goal ensued (50′) when a Viking hit from the deep right side sailed over keepers Gabby Segura’s glove.
The Vikings won nearly every statistical battle. Corners 4-1 , Offsides 3-0, even foul were in favor of Viewmont 6-1. They were the more aggressive team on the pitch and the final score showed.
The Titan prep team (1-3-2, -8 goal differential) also lost to Viewmont 2-0. It was incredibly similar to the Varsity, as the score held 0-0 at halftime.
The Titans take on West (0-5-0) in Salt Lake City on their football field Thursday at 3:30 pm for Varsity and 5:00 pm for prep.
