The Syracuse Titans (2-5-1, 1-2-0) suffered a 2-0 defeat from the Layton Lancers (4-1-0, 3-0-0) on Tuesday afternoon in Layton. 
The Titans controlled the first 20 minutes of each half, but it was an aggressive and physical Layton team that took over. The Lancers scored a goal in each half in the 22nd and 63rd minute of the game.
Overall Layton out shot Syracuse 26-15, but the Titans did put more shots on goal 7-6. The Titans out hit the Lancers in corner kicks 3-2. While the Lancers led in both fouls and offsides.
The Titans were paced offensively by Ashlyn Hall (4 shots, 2 SOG), Savnnah Allen (3 shots, 2 SOG) & Kelsey Steed (3 Shots, 2 SOG). Defensively center backs Grace Nelson and Abby Hall were excellent. Keeping Layton out of the 18 and middle of the field.
The Lady Titans have the rest of the week off then visit Nationally Ranked, #2, Davis (6-0-0, 2-0-0) next Tuesday Sep. 6th.
