It was a busy week for the Syracuse Titans (5-9-1, 4-6-0).
Continuing tradition, during the 2nd bye of the season the Syracuse Titans went and helped out in the community. The girls helped to clear debris, weeds and dead plants/trees at Legacy Park in Syracuse. The girls got dirty, founds lots of snails, dead snakes and put in a ton of work! We are proud of the difference our Titans made that day. Check out pictures here.
On Thursday the Titans faced #1 nationally ranked Davis (14-0-0, 10-0-0). It was a wet and soggy game, in which Syracuse let some big mistakes happen and the Darts quickly capitalized on those mistakes. Davis took total control of the game, winning 8-2. Facing a 7-0 deficit and a near mercy rule and early finish to the game, the cuse girls held tough and rebounded with 2 goals from Freshman Ashlyn Hall (11th and 12th of the season). The first double digit goals against the tough Davis defense this year, although it came at the hands of a 6 goal loss. Kelsey Steed paced the Titans with 4 shots on goal.
On Friday they Titans faced the weather delayed rematch with the Layton Lancers. (8-4-1, 7-3-1). It was a difficult 1-0 loss on our senior night, but a very well played match overall by the Titans. The Titan defense held strong all day long, and Ashlyn Hall, 7 shots, and Adriana Owen, 4 shots, paced the Titans offensively. We love our seniors and are grateful for the time, work, leadership, and dedication they have given to Syracuse Soccer!

The prep team lost both games as well this week. Losing to Davis 1-5 and also to the Lancers 0-2. Taylor Tesch continued her hot season and put in the goal for the Titans JV team. Her 10th of the JV Season.
This week the Titans go on the road for the first time in a month. On Tuesday the Titans go to face the Granger Lancers (2-11-2, 1-8-2). Start times for that game has been switch with JV playing at 5:00 and Varsity at 7:00 pm. Both games will be on the football field under the lights.
