The visiting Syracuse Titans (6-9-1, 5-6-0) defeated the Granger Lancers (2-12-2, 1-9-2) by a score of 5-0 on a cold Tuesday night.

Sophomore Savannah Allen, netting her first career goal (Game Winning Goal), started the scoring for the Titans in the 13th minute from her fullback position on a deep sideline run. While Senior Anne Petersen put the Titans up two with her 8th goal of the season. (14th career).
In the second half Freshman Ashlyn Hall got the brace, bringing her team leading total to 14 goals for the 2016 season. Sophomore Taylor Tesch finished the night off for the Titans by putting in her first career goal. Varsity assists by Ashlyn Hall (6th of season), Grace Nelson (1st of season, 4th career), Adriana Owen (5th of season) & Porter Brown (2nd Season/Career).
Hall and Owen led the Titans with 10 shots a piece, while Gabrielle Bugtong and Allen each placed 7 shots on the night.
It was a dominate defensive effort from the back line of Brenna Hess, Abby Hall, Grace Nelson, Savannah Allen and Porter Brown, keeping the shutout for Goalkeeper Gabby Segura (4th of season, 9th career). The Titans dominated possession, out shooting the Lancers 55-0. The Titan prep team won on an 8-0 mercy rule on the night as well. Goal scorers on the night included a brace by Sage Hopkins (first 2 of the season), a brace by Whitney Carlson (5 on the season), a brace by Madi Dee (5 on the season), Kenadee Arigot (3rd of the season), and Lexi Chenoweth (4 on the season). Assists were provided by Madi Dee (team leading 4th of the season), Kenadee Arigot (2nd of season), Sage Hopkins (2nd of season), Lauren Burnett (2nd of season), and Jordan Stimpson (first of season).Â

Tonight the Titans visit the Hunter Wolverines (1-10-4, 0-9-2) for another late game under the lights on the HHS football field. Kickoff for JV is set for 5:30 pm and Varsity at 7:15 pm.
