Tuesday night Deseret News released their annual 5A All-State Team. We are proud to announce that both Grace Nelson and Ashlyn Hall were both named to the Honorable Mention team.

Grace , a junior defender, and Weber State commit. Made her first All-State team in 2016. She was a vital piece of the Titan defense in the central back role, and willing to do whatever is needed for the team. She was a team captain, and leadership council member for both 2015 and 2016. Grace tallied one assist this year, including 9 shots on the year (6 on goal). She was also a member of the 1,000 minute club with 1,391 minutes this season. Congrats Grace!
Ashlyn, a Freshman Forward. Set every Freshman record this season for the Titans. She also led the team in Goals for the season (18, tying current Weber State player Kylie Harris’ school record set last year) putting her at 5th in 5A. She also led the Titans in assists for the season (8) and points in a season (44, new school record). Ashlyn, a team captain, paced the Titans this season in shots (82 – new scho

ol record) and shots on goal (48 – new school record). She was also a member of the 1,000 minute club. The first freshman to do so. Congrats Ashlyn!
Ashlyn and Grace are the 3rd and 4th Des News All-state selection in school history. This is also the first time in Titan history that 2 athletes from Syracuse have made the Deseret News All-State team in the same year. You can see their selection in the Deseret News here.
