
The Syracuse Titans (4-0-0) completed their St. George trip with a great 9-1 victory over the home Pine View Panthers (0-2-0).
It was a historic night for Freshman Midfielder Caroline Stringfellow as she set the single season assist record for SHS. With her 4 assists on the night, Stringfellow who has 13 assists on the season, also became the career assist leader for SHS sitting one ahead of Sophomore teammate Ashlyn Hall.
Hall recorded her first hat trick of the season (3rd of her career) in the victory. She currently leads the team with 7 goals on the season. Other goal scorers on the night included Stringfellow with the brace (5th & 6th of the season), Junior Lauren Burnett (3rd season/career), Freshman Genevieve Gotschall (1st Career), Freshman Sarah Wynn (4th season) and Junior Taylor Tesch (1st of season, 2nd Career).
Other assists on goals for the night came from Hall (2), Wynn (4th season), Junior Savannah Allen (1st season, 4th career) , Sophomore Jenna Kelly (1st Career), Senior Kenadee Arigot (3rd season, 8th career), and Senior Jessica Jude (2nd season, 3rd career).
The Titans outshot the Panthers 14-7, on goal 9-4 in favor of Syracuse. The visiting team converted an outstanding 64% of their shots into goals, a new school record by nearly 30%. Senior Gabby Segura had 4 saves on the night, 0 goals against, and secured her 22nd career win.
For the prep team (4-0-0) sophomore Madi Dee put in the game winning goal for the JV squad in a 1-0 win over Pine View.
In between games the Titans enjoyed exploring the red rocks of St. George and enjoying a team lunch together! Friday morning Coach Brown put the girls through a tough workout in the park then we completed our trip with our annual Capture the Flag game. The Senior/Freshman team once again stayed victorious in the traditional game.
