The Syracuse Titans (8-0-0, 4-0-0) defeated the 3x defending state champion Davis Darts (2-4-0, 0-3-0) 2-1 on Titan Field Thursday afternoon in an exciting and fast paced game.

Freshman Caroline Stringfellow started off the scoring for the Titans in the 22nd minute off a great throw in from Savannah Allen. Stingfellow fought her way through multiple Davis defenders in the box to put in her 15th goal of the season.
Davis responded with a 1st half stoppage time goal, with seconds to go, to even the score at the break. The underclassman of Syracuse responded after the break in dominant fashion, Sophomore Ashlyn Hall found Stringfellow for the game winning goal in the 55th minute (Hall’s 9th assist of the season, Strinfellow’s 16th goal of the season) .

The Titans out shot the Darts 16 to 13, putting more on frame as well 8 – 7. Goalkeeper Gabby Segura earned the win in net, having multiple great saves again for the home team. Segura secured her 26th career win Thursday. Corner kicks were also in favor of the home team 5-4. It was the first victory over Davis in school history (11th year).
The prep team lost to Davis JV 3-0 Tuesday evening.
