Titans finish road trip undefeated

The Syracuse Titans (4-0-0) finished their road trip to St. George with a victory over Desert Hills High School (1-3-1) in a weather shortened 2-0 victory Wednesday night.

Ashlyn Hall led the Titans with the brace on the hot turf (6 season, 46 career). Tying her and teammate Caroline Stringfellow for the 6A goal leaders with 6 a piece.

After a scoreless first half for both teams, sophomore Sarah Wynn started the scoring with a beautiful assist to Hall in the 44’ (6 assists on the season, 17 career). Wynn finished the trip with 5 assists between the two games. The other assist on the evening came from Junior defender Madi Dee (1st season, 3rd career) before lightning ended the game shortly after.

The Titans outshot the Thunder 12-4, on frame as well 4-0. Briget Wallace earned the shutout in net (1.5 career) behind the back line of Porter Brown, Jenna Kelly, Kelsey Steed and Madi Dee.

E486755E-02BB-4269-B8AF-207C40690652JV lost to DHHS 0-3. Finishing the trip 0-2. It was an incredible trip of team bonding, hanging out, going out to eat, swimming, playing on the red rocks and bbqing at Grandma and Grandpa Allen’s. A trip to remember for these girls.

Next up Syracuse begins their difficult Region 1 slate at Northridge (2-1-0, 0-0-0) Tuesday at 3:30. The Titans swept the Knights in two great back and forth games last year. The two teams have played a total of 19 times. The Titans lead the overall series with a record against Northridge of 9-8-2.
