The Syracuse Titans (13-1-0, 9-1-0) lost their first game of the season to the visiting Davis Darts (8-2-2, 5-2-2) by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Darts quickly built a lead off of 30 yard hit 4′ into the game, taking the 1-0 lead into halftime. In the 52′ the Darts successfully built their lead to 2-0. The Titans quickly

rebounded with a score one minute later. Junior Ashlyn Hall hit her 15th goal of the season (55th career) off of Sophomore Caroline Stringfellow’s 11th assist of the season (43rd career).
The Titans outshout the Darts 18-10, including more shots on frame and off. Corner kicks on the day were in favor of the Titans 7-4.
The Titan JV team (6-5-3, 4-3-3), finished the game in a 2-2 tie. Freshman Mia Hammond secured her JV leading 5th goal of the season, assisted by Courtnee Wright. Sophomore Lexi Paulsen tallied her second jv goal of the season in the tie.
The Titans now go on the road to visit the Layton Lancers (9-2-2, 6-1-2) in a difficult Region 1 matchup. The two teams will meet at Layton High’s soccer field, at 3:30 pm on Thursday afternoon.
