The Syracuse Titans (3-1-1) finished the preseason on a high note with a 1-0 victory over the visiting Highland Rams (0-1-0). The North wind made it a brutally cold day for the Titans who were hosting their first home game of the season.
After a scoreless first half Sophomore Seth Mendoza put the Titans ahead in the 55′ with his second goal of the season/career. It was also his second game winning goal of his career. Junior Kade Stever had his second assist of the season for the Titans.

Sophomore Brayden Valera (1 career, 1.5 career wins) and Sophomore Hayden Poll (.5 career, .5 career wins) split the shutout in net.
The Titans out shot the Rams 21-3, with more shots on goal 8-2. Corner kicks were in the favor of the home team 7-3. Junior Andrew Torena and Freshman Bennett Carlson led the team in shots with 5 a piece.
The ‘Cuse JV squad finished their preseason 4-1-1 with a 3-1 victory over the Rams. Sophomore defender Devin Bailey sliced in a corner kick for his first JV goal of the season in the 7′ of the game. After a 1-1 halftime score, Sophomore Bobby Carreras put in his first JV goal of his career in the 53’ to break the tie. Freshman Blake Kneedy finished the scoring on the day with his second JV goal of the season. Assists on the day were provided by Junior Tytan Smith and Sophomore Brayden Hart.
In the net Junior Liam Jensen and Freshman Britton Moline shared the victory and shutout for the Titans.

Next up Syracuse begins Region 1 play hosting the Davis Darts (0-0-2). A tough team that has yet to allow a goal this season.
