Hall nets hat trick in loss

The Syracuse Titans (2-1-0, 0-1-0) played host to the Layton Lancers (3-0-0, 1-0-0) on Tuesday evening in the home and region opener at Titan field .

The Lancers put two goals in during each half to defeat the home team by a score of 4-3. Senior forward Ashlyn Hall netted her 7th career hat trick, the 22nd in school history. Hall netted goals in the 4th, 54th and 67th minutes. She now sits at 6 goals on the season, 66 career. Junior Caroline Stringfellow netted her 6th assist of the season on the first goal (54 career).

The Lancers out shot the home team 30-18, and put more on frame 15-21. They led also in corner kicks, fouls and yellow cards.

The JV squad had a resounding 4-1 win over the Lancer JV team. Sophomore Jaycee Page started the scoring with her second JV goal of the season. Sophomore Mia Hammond netted her second JV goal of the season, Junior Courtnee Wright had her third goal of the season and Freshman Ashtyn Carlson put in her second goal of the season.

Assists on the day were provided by Sophomore Autumn Hogan (2 season), Sophomore Macyn Zimmerman (2 Season), Wright (2 season), Junior Lydia Steel (1 Season) and Sophomore Kacie Barker (1 season).

The Titans continue region play today by hosting the Davis Darts (3-0-0, 1-0-0). The darts and Titans have played every single season since the inception of the school. Varsity play begins at 5:30 with JV to follow on Titan Field
