– Joshua [Iosua] Hunt
Coach Hunt is returning for his second year as an Assistant Coach for the Women’s Soccer Team at Syracuse High School. He attended high school at The Church College of Western Samoa [C.C.W.S] where he played all 5 years [Year 9 – Year 13] winning 2 Championships, once as an Intermediate and another as a Senior. He also graduated from Brigham Young University of Hawai’i where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Information Systems with an emphasis in Network Infrastructure.
Coach Hunt in his youth represented his home country of Samoa in a couple of age-group national teams. The most notable of his selections was when he represented Samoa in the National Under-17 outfit for an Oceania Cup tournament.
He also helped his village club, the Vaitoloa Vikings, win the Championship twice for the Western Region of the Men’s 1st Division National League of the Samoa National Soccer Federation clubs.
In addition to his love for soccer, he also played and coach rugby for many years. His passion for sports and other activities, especially when it involves the development of the youth is remarkable.
Coach Hunt is married to his beautiful wife Kaitlin, who is also involved with the program as well as the community. They have 4 wonderful children who are all active in sports and other activities.
